
Undertale: Last Chance

Undertale: Last Chance is a fan-made prequel to Toby Fox’s Undertale. In this game, you will traverse a storied fight between four fallen souls. To successfully defeat each boss, you must carefully dodge the attacks and ensure that your health stays above 0 to move on and continue fighting. Upon each victory, you are presented with an option to spare or kill the boss, resulting in a different ending upon beating the game.
The game fundamentally forces the player (the heart) to dodge oncoming attacks, however there are specific types of heart and attacks that make for different interactions.
- Blue Heart: Gives the heart gravity (the amount of time the up arrow key is held changes how high the heart jumps)
- Orange Heart: Gives the heart perpetual movement (after pressing an arrow key direction, the heart will continue to move in that direction even if you let go of the key)
- Black Heart: Same movement as the red heart, except now the heart will flicker between being invisible and being red
- Blue Attack: Will only damage the player if you are moving as the attack hits the player
- Orange Attack: Will only damage the player if you are not moving as the attack hits the player
How to navigate the Game?
Our game has a comprehensive menu where you are able to edit your controls, play the game on different difficulty levels including normal, hard, and Morrison (practice mode). The game also allows for you to play specific bosses or the entire game as well.
Controls:
The default controls are arrow keys for movement, Z for select and X to go back. The selection and going back keybinds can also be changed within our menu to accommodate for the user’s wants and needs. Additionally, the user can switch between using a keyboard or controller as an input device. All of these keybinds will save after you close the game.
Idea: 2D bullet hell game based upon Undertale, made in Unity. Each member of the group will create their own boss and attack phase. Will be coded in C# including various different objects to create the game that we envisioned. Also utilizes a file reader and writer to save user information, and dynamic ArrayLists to hold data.
